Devotional Day 2 - Rejoicing Always

Jul 8, 2026    Pastor Larry Skero Jr

𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥: "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!" This isn't a suggestion—it's a command that transforms how we navigate life's challenges. Paul connects our ability to rejoice with letting our "gentle spirit be known to all men" and being "anxious for nothing." Notice the pattern: rejoicing leads to gentleness, which combats anxiety. When we choose to rejoice in the Lord regardless of circumstances, we're not denying reality; we're declaring that God is bigger than our problems. Anxiety reveals where we've stopped trusting God and started trusting ourselves. Instead of anxious thoughts, Paul directs us to prayer with thanksgiving. This isn't positive thinking—it's faith thinking. When you bring your requests to God with gratitude, His peace guards your heart and mind. What anxiety are you holding onto today that you need to surrender through prayer?
