Devotional Day 5 || Pressing Toward the Goal

Devotional: Paul, the great apostle, acknowledged he had not yet arrived at perfection, but he pressed on toward the goal. Maturity requires forgetting what lies behind—both your failures and your successes—and reaching forward to what God has ahead. Some believers are trapped by past sins, unable to accept forgiveness. Others are trapped by past accomplishments, constantly reliving former glory. Both hinder spiritual growth. The upward call of Christ demands that you keep moving forward, eyes fixed on Jesus, pursuing the prize of hearing "well done, faithful servant." Your hope is not found in earthly approval or human recognition, but in pleasing your Father in heaven. Today, identify what you need to leave behind—whether shame or pride—and commit to pressing on toward maturity in Christ with renewed purpose and passion.
