Suffering Devotional || When Darkness Hides His Face
ππππππππππ:Β Isaiah presents a profound mystery: a faithful servant walking in darkness with no light, yet still trusting. This describes seasons when obedience doesn't bring clarity, when doing right doesn't feel right. The temptation is to "kindle your own fire"βto manufacture solutions, force answers, or take control. But God warns this leads to sorrow. Instead, we're called to "trust in the name of the Lord and stay upon His God." Don't doubt in the dark what God showed you in the light. The hymn reminds us: "When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest on His unchanging grace." Your feelings may fail, but His character never changes. Trust His heart when you cannot trace His hand.
