Suffering Devotional || Light Afflictions, Eternal Glory
ππππππππππ:Β Paul calls his sufferings "light afflictions" while listing beatings, shipwrecks, and persecution. How could he say this? Because he compared them to eternal glory. Our perspective determines our endurance. When we focus on what's seenβthe pain, the loss, the confusionβwe become overwhelmed. But when we look at what's unseenβGod's purposes, eternal rewards, Christ's presenceβeverything shifts. The sufferings of this present time truly aren't worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed. This isn't minimizing pain; it's maximizing hope. Your current trial has an expiration date, but God's glory in you is forever. Keep your eyes on the unseen reality that outlasts every earthly struggle.
