Well, That Went Well! Devotional Day 1 - He Had To Come To You

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐛'𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐧, 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲.

𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥:

The word "had to" in this passage is not incidental. It is the language of divine necessity. Jesus did not wander into Samaria by accident. He was sent there by the sovereign will of the Father, drawn to one soul sitting in shame at the edge of town. Before you ever sought God, God was already moving toward you. He was rerouting his path, setting the hour, and positioning himself at the exact well where your thirst would bring you. The gospel did not stumble into your life. It was planned. Reflect today on the moment God's grace first found you, and consider how deliberate his love truly was.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Can you trace the moments in your life when God's hand was clearly moving you toward him, even before you recognized it?

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Write down two or three people in your life for whom you sense God is already working behind the scenes. Begin praying with intention for those individuals this week.
